Isang Facebook reel ang maling nagsabing si Sen. Risa Hontiveros ang may pananagutan sa dami ng mga Pilipinong walang tirahan, at sinabing si Sen. Cynthia Villar ang nag-akusahan sa kanya.
Red Flag: Isang Facebook reel ang nagkalat muli ng bidyo ng dalawang senador kung saan makikitang nagkainitan sina Hontiveros at Villar sa isang pagdinig ng Senado ukol sa housing project ng gobyerno.
- Isang pro-Duterte Facebook profile ang nagpalutang muli ng bidyo ni Hontiveros online kaalinsabay ng pag-usad ng impeachment trial ni Vice President Sara Duterte.
- Wala sa konteksto ang paggamit ng naturang bidyo dahil kinuha lamang ito sa isang bahagi ng sesyon ng Senado at makikitang paulit-ulit ang reaksyon ni Hontiveros hhabang nagsasalita si Villar.
Mga Resibo: Ang ginamit na bidyo ay kinuha mula sa sesyon ng Senado noong Nob. 12, 2024 kung saan nagkaroon ng budget hearing para sa pagtatayo ng mga condo ng Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development’s (DHSUD) bilang housing projects.
- Noong Nov.18, 2024, pinabulaanan ni Hontiveros ang pagkalat ng maling impormasyon na siya ang tinatanong ni Villar tungkol sa financial benefits ng naturang housing project.
- “It was the contractors who were put into question,” pahayag ni Hontiveros. (“Ang mga contractor ang tinatanong,”)
- Dagdag pa, sa isang press release ni Villar, hindi naman niya tahasang sinabi na si Hontiveros ang may kasalanan o responsable para sa naturang isyu.
Bakit ito may fact-check: Ang uploaded na bidyo ay umani na ng 483,000 views, may 17,000 ding reactions at share na 2,700.
