FACT-CHECK: Hindi pinalitan ng MMDA ang odd-even coding scheme gamit ang Fibonacci sequence

CLAIM: Sinuspinde ng MMDA ang odd-even coding scheme kapalit ng Fibonacci sequence.

Isang Facebook post mula sa satirical page na “BM News” ang nagpakalat ng maling impormasyon na sinuspinde ng Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ang odd-even coding scheme at pinalitan ito ng sistemang nakabatay sa Fibonacci sequence. 

Makikita sa post ang isang binagong larawan ng projector screen na nagpapakita ng Fibonacci sequence. 

Ang BM News ay isang satirical page na kilalang naglalathala ng mga non-factual at pang katatawanang nilalaman. 

Gayunpaman, umani pa rin ng 12,000 reactions at 5,000 shares ang nasabing post, at nagdulot ng pagkalito sa maraming netizens kahit malinaw na may tag ito bilang satire. 

Ayon sa impormasyon mula sa MMDA, kinansela ang odd-even coding scheme kasunod ng kautusan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na ihinto muna ang EDSA rehabilitation project upang makapaghanda ng mas epektibong mga hakbang

Nilinaw naman ng MMDA na habang inalis na ang odd-even scheme, mananatili pa rin ang umiiral na number coding scheme. Kylyn Kyth Cuñado
