FACT-CHECK: Pekeng video ng pag-aresto kay Quiboloy, kumalat online

CLAIM: Makikita sa isang Facebook reel ang umanong pag-aresto kay Apollo Quiboloy.

May isang manipuladong video ng umano’y pag-aresto sa puganteng pastor na si Apollo Quiboloy ang kumakalat ngayon sa Facebook.

Ang pinekeng video ay may kalakip na mga katagang nagsasabing “10M nakuha na,” kahit pa hindi totoo na may nakatanggap na ng P10-milyong pabuya para sa impormasyon tungkol sa kinaroroonan ng pastor. 

Nitong Agosto 24, nagtungo ang puwersa ng Philippine National Police sa compound ng Kingdom of Jesus Christ o KOJC sa Davao City upang hanapin at hainan ng warrant of arrest ang nagpapakilalang “appointed son of God” at ang iba pang mga kapwa nito akusado. 

Sa isang press conference ng Police Regional Office 11 noong Setyembre 3, sinabi ng mga opisyal na may isang tip unamo na nagturo sa kanila na salakayin ang isang silid na ginamit bilang hideout ng pastor, ngunit wala silang natagpuan. 

Gayunpaman, ayon kay Police Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III, ang mga damit at iba pang gamit mula sa loob ng silid ay tumutugma sa sukat ng pangangatawan ni Quiboloy.

Noong Setyembre 8, kinumpirma ni Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos sa isang Facebook post na naaresto na si Quiboloy.
