CLAIM: Controversial pastor and church leader pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy was apprehended by the Philippine National Police weeks prior to his actual arrest.

A TikTok user has falsely claimed that controversial pastor Apollo Quiboloy was apprehended by authorities weeks prior to his actual arrest.
The video posted by user @marwin.a.tio on Aug. 26, bore a text overlay saying: “Nahuli na pala [si] Quiboloy” (Quiboloy was arrested).
The video posted was a “duet” from another TikTok user that originally said: “Nahuli na ang ibang kasama ni Quiboloy, [siya na lang] talaga ang kulang” (Quiboloy’s accomplices were already arrested, he is the only one remaining).
Both videos used Teleradyo Serbisyo’s Headlines Ngayon news report dating Aug. 14 where it detailed the arrest of the embattled pastor’s four co-accused.
It was not stated in the original report that Quiboloy had been arrested.
The pastor surrendered to military intelligence officers on Sept. 8 and was placed in police custody.
