Labis ang pag aalala ng mga fans at kaibigan ng aktres na si Jaymee Joaquin matapos siyang isugod sa ospital kamakailan lamang dahil sa biglaang shortness of breathing.
Dinala sa St. Lukes Medical Center sa Bonifacio Global Center Taguig ang host-actress at kinailangang i-confine mula April 22 hanggang 27 dahil hindi umano ito makahinga nang maayos.
Ayon sa doktor ni Jamie, sa kasamaang palad ay kumalat na ang cancer ng akres at ngayon ay may fluid build-up sa kaniyang per pericardial at right pleural area.
Kahit na na discharge na si Jamie ay maroon pa ring catheter at drains na nakakabit sa kaniya.
Samantala sa Instagram ng dating model, ibinahagi niya ang kaniyang kalagayang pang kalusugan.
“April 22 to 27, 2022. I was admitted at St. Luke’s Hospital BGC Manila. I’ve been short of breath the week before that & thought I’m just jet-lagged and adjusting with humidity in Manila. But when it didn’t get better after many days of resting, I knew something was wrong. 
“And I was right. It turns out, cancer progressed and I have fluids building up in my pericardial and right pleural area… something that I’ve already had back in 2020. Only back then, it was with the left lung. 
”
Dagdag pa niya, “Currently, I’m already discharged and on the mend with catheters and drains attached to my torso so the liquids will have an output. I have also made the decision to extend my stay in the Philippines and have the St. Luke’s BGC team take care of me so that I can spend more time with my loved ones here and feel safer to fly back to the US when I’m more stable. It hurts my bank account but my health and time with loved ones is more important at this point. 
”
Bago lisanin ang showbiz at magpagaling sa cancer noong 2016 ay matayog ang karera ni Jamie bilang isang model, host at actress. Tila nawala naman ang cancer cells niya noong 2017 ngunit bumalik din bandang 2019.
