Richard and Lucy Torres-Gomez are blessed with their daughter, Juliana. Their unica hija, who is just as talented and passionate as her parents, is about to turn 20 years old this September. However, many fans on social media are wondering, why is Juliana an only child? In a previous interview, Lucy herself revealed why they didn’t have another baby after their unica hija.
While many only-child wishes to have a brother or a sister, Julia was content in being the unica hija of the family. Apparently, even when she was still young, Juliana has already decided that she doesn’t want any more siblings. According to Lucy, she would ask Juliana to help pray for another sibling, but Juliana will disagree.

“When she was little and we’d say our bedtime prayers together, I would ask her to help me pray for a baby brother or sister for her. She would listen intently, wide-eyed, nodding as if in agreement, then she would break into a smile and say gently but firmly, ‘Mama, dog na lang.'”
Even though she doesn’t have any siblings, Juliana gets all the love and attention she needs from her parents. Lucy and Richard are loving and dedicated parents to their precious unica hija. Even though they are busy with their career, they always make sure to spend time with their daughter and prioritize her well-being.
In addition to that, Juliana also has a lot of friends who love her like a sibling. In an interview, Lucy revealed that Juliana’s friends always come over for sleep-overs. Because of this, she never feels alone and lonely even though she doesn’t have any sibling.
“I remember one time, maybe five years ago, she Juliana said, ‘Mama, ‘di ba I’m an only child? But look at my banyo, I have 11 toothbrushes!’ Because all her female friends sleep over. I love it when the house is filled with her friends, so they take over the kitchen and they bake.”
