FACT-CHECK: Nasa gabinete parin ni Marcos Jr. si Gibo Teodoro

CLAIM: Umalis na ang Defense Secretary Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro  sa gabinete ni Marcos Jr. dahil sa umano’y pandidiri.

Kamakailang kumalat ang mga samu’t-saring hindi makatotohanang posts sa Facebook at Youtube tungkol sa umano’y pagbitaw daw ni Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro bilang kalihim ng Department of National Defense (DND).

Nagsimula ang mga tsismis matapos ang pagpalit kay Cheloy Garafil bilang chief of the Presidential Communications Office.

 

 

Sa isang press conference noong Sept. 12, itinanggi ni Teodoro ang mga kumakalat na tsismis at sinabing wala siyang intensyon umalis sa kanyang pwesto. 

Sinabi rin ni Teodoro na itutuloy niya ang layunin ni pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na protektahan ang teritoryo ng Pilipinas sa gitna ng mga agresyon ng Tsina sa West Philippine Sea. 

Sa hiwalay na pahayag, itinanggi din ni DND spokesperson Arsenio Andolong ang mga tsismis na ito at hiningkayat ang mga mamayanan na maging alerto sa mga maling impormasyon.

Habang nasa Navotas, nilinaw naman ng pangulo na ang mga usapin tungkol sa umano’y pag bitiw ni Teodoro sa kanyang gabinete ay “fake, fake, fake, fake, fake, fake news,” at tinawag na desperado at gumagawa lamang ng gulo ang mga nagpapakalat neto.

Sa oras ng pagsusulat, natanggal na ang mga minanipulang videos sa YouTube at Facebook na ibinihagi nina na mga user na sina Ed Alunan at Ramon Cagas, pagkatapos din ng pahayag ni Teodoro. Leigh San Diego (Translated by: Aaron Bartilad)
