TikTok user “muskcullin” falsely claimed that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. gave directives to American officials in a Malacañang meeting on July 30, 2024.
The American officials in the video were US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin III, who paid a courtesy call on Marcos Jr in Malacañang.
During the meeting, the three officials discussed the relationship between the United States and the Philippines and how to further strengthen the US-Philippine alliance.
Blinken and Austin also reassured Marcos Jr. of the US commitment to helping protect Philippine sovereignty.
