An X user made the false claim that then-senator Bongbong Marcos’s visit to Typhoon “Yolanda” victims was not covered by the media

X user Don Julian’s erroneous post on Nov. 8, 2023 stated:

“kahit hindi binabalita dati napaka bait ng ating pangulo @bongbongmarcos tunay na may malasakit kaya hindi nag kamali ang pilipino na piliin siya in the difficult moments andiyan siya ito ang liderato na dapat supporthan PBBM all the way TYPHOON YOLANDA #PBBMTotoongMayMalasakit”

Rappler covered Marcos Jr.’s visit to the hometown of his mother, the former first lady Imelda Marcos.

He visited Tacloban City to offer assistance to the victims of Super Typhoon Yolanda on Nov. 17.
