Most women dream of having a fairytale-like proposal from their loved one. After all, who wouldn’t love a grand gesture of that shows affection and love, right? But this also creates an immense pressure for the guys to live up to the proposal that their girlfriends hope for. In addition to that, there are also risks involved when it comes to proposing in public.
The other party will make a grand effort to prepare flowers, songs, and sometimes even flash mobs just to get down on one knee as finally ask the big question. All of these efforts are done in the hope that the other party will say ‘yes.’ However, sometimes, proposals in public do not go exactly as planned.
Take this one case for example. Even amid the pandemic, this guy managed to orchestrate a grand proposal for his girlfriend right in the middle of a public mall! The proposal was complete with a bouquet of roses, and many onlookers stopped in their tracks to watch the event as it unfolds.
At first, the girl looked absolutely delighted and surprised after seeing the proposal. She was holding the bouquet of roses while her boyfriend got down on his knees and finally asked the big question. Much to the surprise of everyone, the girlfriend rejected the proposal and immediately fled the scene.
As of writing, the short clip of the incident has already gone viral on social media. Thousands of netizens have also shared the video, along with their different take on this issue.
Inevitably, many netizens expressed sympathy towards the guy due to his wasted effort, but some gave the benefit of the doubt to the girl and claimed that she must have some serious reasons on why she didn’t accepted the proposal.
Some are also saying that the man brought the rejection upon himself. Some women are just not comfortable being put in a situation like this, where they feel like they are pressured to say ‘yes.’
