Do you still remember Paula Peralejo? Back in the 90s, Paula is one of the most popular teen stars in the showbiz industry. She’s the younger sister of actress Rica Peralejo and the aunt of Heaven Peralejo. However, unlike her sister and her niece, Paula did not pursue her career in showbiz. Instead, she decided to pursue a different path.
Before we take a look at her life today, let’s look back on Paula’s career in the past. Way back in 1992, her biggest break came when she was chosen to be one of the cast members of the kiddie gag show “Ang TV.” In this youth-oriented program, people saw Paula’s potential in acting.

When she entered her teenage years, Paula started to take on more serious roles. Throughout the years, she went on to star in several series in the Kapamilya network. Paula starred in “Gimik,” but perhaps her most popular role is “Anne” in the youth-oriented program “Tabing Ilog” that ended in 2003.
But even though she’s had a successful career in showbiz, Paula decided to focus on her education in University of the Philippines. She claimed that she cannot juggle her career and education at the same time, so when the time came to choose, Paula turned her back on her career. In 2008, she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
“I wanted to go back to school, so I went back to school while I was still in showbiz, pero alam mo naman ang schedule ng showbiz pero nag-aabsent rin ako ng absent. Bakit pa ako bumalik ng school kung absent rin naman ako ng absent. So I quit showbiz and went back to school,” says Paula.
In 2013, Paula Peralejo married Charlie Fernandez and the couple was blessed with a son. She’s also ventured into business, and in 2015, she started her own travel agency. When asked if she still wants to go back to showbiz, Paula claimed that she’s contented with her life now.
