Growing up without your parents is tough. But this is incredibly tougher if you found out that your parents abandoned you when you were still young. Instead of lamenting over their incomplete family, some people used their broken childhood as an inspiration to work harder and succeed in life! Among them are these Pinoy celebrities who grew up without their parents.
1. Angelica Panganiban
Angelica found out that she was an adopted child when she was already an adult. Prior to that, the actress was already having her suspicions because she’s always fighting with her foster mom.
After finding out the truth, Angelica finally came to terms with her true identity. She’s also thankful to the family who raised and loved her as their own.
2. Matet de Leon
Nora Aunor adopted the young Matet. Back in the days, Nora doesn’t have her own child, so she poured her love and support for her adopted daughter. Even though Nora and Matet have their own differences, Matet claimed that she will always feel indebted towards her foster mother.

3. Coco Martin
The “Ang Probinsyano” actor was only 9 years old when his parents split. Since then, he grew up under the care of his loving grandmother. When he became a successful actor, Coco made sure to repay the love and sacrifices of his kind grandmother.
4. Cristine Reyes
Cristine’s mom left them at an early age to go abroad. She was left to their relatives, but later on, Cristine’s biological mom returned to take them back.
5. Bea Alonzo
Bea was only 4 years old when her parents split. In spite of growing up in a broken household, Bea was thankful because her mom sacrificed a lot to raise her right. Bea eventually found many father figures in showbiz later on.
