We’re only halfway through 2020, but we’ve already experienced the loss of many great personalities. On August 16, the nation mourned the untimely passing of vlogger Emman Nimedez. And on September 4, Emman’s friend and fellow vlogger Lloyd Cadena also passed away. This shocking announcement was made on Lloyd Cadena’s official Facebook page.
“It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the untimely demise of our beloved brother Lloyd Cafe Cadena. May he be remembered for all the joy and laughter he shared with everyone. My family and I ask for your prayers, respect, and privacy during this time.”
Lloyd was only 26 years old. He started creating hilarious and entertaining vlogs on Youtube way back in 2011. Today, his Youtube channel boasts more than 5.29 million subscribers.
On the other hand, many rumors resurfaced amidst Lloyd Cadena’s passing. Since the family did not reveal the official cause of death, some netizens speculated whether it’s related to COVID-19. There’s also a circulating comment claiming that Lloyd died from cardiac arrest.
Until now, many fans are still waiting for more updates from the family. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, a public funeral or wake is not yet allowed by the Inter-Agency Task Force. With that in mind, it’s possible that Lloyd’s wake and funeral will not be open for his fans.
Lloyd Cadena’s death came just a few weeks after the passing of Emman Nimedez. Just like Lloyd, Emman is also a vlogger with more than 2 million subscribers on Youtube. He passed away earlier on August due to complications arising from his acute myeloid leukemia.
