John Regala is one of the most iconic kontrabida actor back in the 90s. Yet recently, John once again made headlines on social media because of his current situation. The 55-year-old former actor was spotted roaming in the streets in Pasay City. He was visibly weak and ill, and a concerned citizen claimed that John was abandoned by his family right when he needed them most.
Many netizens were moved with the actor’s current situation. Later on, his story was picked up by staff of Raffy Tulfo’s program “Wanted sa Radyo.” The renowned broadcaster decided to lend a hand to this remarkable actor.

Raffy Tulfo, who is known for his generosity and kindness, couldn’t help but be moved with John Regala’s current situation. The kindhearted host pledged to extend help to the former 90s actor. According to Raffy, he will be giving Regala P100k cash out of his own pocket as well as groceries and medicines.
“Sa ngayon po, magpi-pledge ako. Magbibigay ako ng isandaang libong piso at bukod pa ho diyan, magbibigay ako ng gamot, groceries para sayo. At kung ano pa pong maitutulong namin, ibibigay ko po.”
Shortly after his photos went viral on social media, the 55-year-old actor graced an interview with DZRH. According to Regala, he is currently battling two illnesses, including liver cirrhosis. In spite of this, he’s still determined to find any kind of work in order to afford his expensive medicines.
“Ako po ay nahihiya pero kakapalan ko na po ang mukha ko. Bawat tao naman po ay dumadaan sa ganitong sitwasyon. Sana po kung hindi naman kalabisan sa inyo, pakitulungan naman po ako. Nagpapakumbaba po ako labis labis. Gusto ko lang po talagang makapaghanapbuhay.”
