A pro-Duterte vlogger falsely claimed that US President Donald Trump snubbed President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos and first lady Liza Marcos at the late Pope’s funeral Mass held at the Vatican.
On the vlogger’s Facebook page, spliced footage from the late Pope Francis’ funeral featured Trump interacting with the rest of the world leaders.
The video included text that read “PRES. TRUMP, dinedma[sic] ang mag-asawang vangag[sic].”
The Presidential Communication Office’s (PCO) official Facebook page posted photos of Trump briefly interacting with the first couple before the Mass.
The first lady uploaded a video on her Facebook showcasing the highlights of their working visit, which included clips of Bongbong shaking hands with Trump and meeting global leaders.
Trump and Marcos Jr.’s interaction occurred before the spliced report provided by the vlogger.
