CLAIM: The MMDA suspended the odd-even coding scheme in favor of a Fibonacci sequence-based system.

A Facebook post by the satirical page “BM News” claimed that the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) had suspended the odd-even coding scheme and replaced it with the Fibonacci sequence.
The post featured an altered image of a projector screen showing the Fibonacci sequence.
BM news is a satirical page that publishes posts with non-factual and humorous content.
However, the post still garnered 12,000 reactions and 5,000 shares, confusing many users despite being clearly tagged as satire.
Based on information from the MMDA, the odd-even scheme was cancelled following President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s suspension of the EDSA rehabilitation project to prepare for better mitigating measures.
