FACT-CHECK: ‘Francis Leo Marcos’ not among Oculum survey’s top 10 senatorial candidates

CLAIM: Francis Leo Marcos made it to the top 10 of Oculum Research and Analytics’ senatorial survey.

A Facebook post falsely claimed on Thursday that internet personality Norman Mangusin, who uses the name“Francis Leo Marcos,” is among the top 10 senatorial candidates in the latest Oculum Research and Analytics survey.

The page named “FoodGenius Vlog” posted a pseudo-news article bearing a caption that said: “BREAKING: Francis Leo Marcos Breaks Into the Top 10 in the Latest Oculum Research and Analytics Survey for the 2025 Philippine Senatorial Elections.”

However, results of the joint Oculum-RMN Networks survey revealed that Mangusin failed to enter the top 25 of the list.

Mangusin’s name was not even included in the latest ballot face template of the Commission on Elections.

His noninclusion in Comelec’s official list prior to the survey period (December 16-22) signified that Mangusin was not among the candidates to be chosen from in the survey.

As of writing, the Supreme Court has ordered Comelec to include Mangusin’s name in the ballot for the upcoming May elections.

However, the self-proclaimed son of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr. withdrew his candidacy on Jan. 24.

This prompted the Comelec to issue a resolution where it listed 66 candidates. Mangusin’s name was nowhere to be found on the list. Hurt Allauigan
