CLAIM: Photo of a group of people holding up a banner urging President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. undergo a drug test

Facebook page “VOVph” posted a manipulated photo showing President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. participating in a parade with Filipino Olympians and a group of people holding a banner that read “MARCOS JR, PA DRUGTEST KA NA!”

The message of the actual banner was “CALOY DITO PAPA MO!” Carlos Yulo’s father is also seen cheering from the crowd.

The original photos were screenshots from RTVMalacañang’s live stream of the heroes’ welcome celebration for the Filipino Olympians who recently competed in the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Meanwhile, the photo of Marcos Jr. used in the post was from a motorcade during his 2022 campaign. However, the original uploader of the image could not be traced.

As of writing, the post has drawn 1,697 reactions, 222 comments, and 122 shares. Leigh San Diego
