Manipulated photos of dismissed Bamban mayor Alice Guo and the fugitive Pastor Apollo Quiboloy in space suits have circulated on Facebook and X.

The photos circulated amid the search for Guo and Quiboloy, both of whom face court cases in the country.

Guo, who used vans and boats to leave the Philippines as confirmed by a cohort and supposed sister, Sheila Guo, in a Senate hearing, is back in government custody after being arrested by Indonesian authorities in Tangerang City, Indonesia.

The arrest of Guo in Indonesia was confirmed by Senators Risa Hontiveros and Win Gatchalian on their Facebook pages on Sept. 4.

On Aug. 24, the Philippine National Police deployed 2,000 personnel to serve a warrant of arrest against Quiboloy and other co-accused members at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ compound in Davao City.

On Sept. 8, Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos announced on Facebook that Quiboloy had been taken into custody. Leigh San Diego
