Kit Thompson has recently become a trending topic online after he was arrested for beating up his girlfriend, Ana Jalandoni.
In the latest update of Ogie Diaz’s Showbiz Update with Maama Loi and their guests Ate Mrena and Tita Jegs, they talked about the recent involvement of Kit Thompson in a controversy.
The talent manager mentioned that he recently met Ana Jalandoni when the sexy star treated her in the Korean restaurant that she owns.
“Ito’y nakarating lang sa akin mula sa kaibigan ni Ana na parang selos (dahilan ng pananakit umano sa kanya ni Kit). Nakausap ko si Ana Jalandoni dahil nagkita kami sa kanyang Korean restaurant at doon nga ay trineat tayo ni Ana nito lang, kailan lang.
“Tapos para makipagbalitaan ganyan. So, nakilala ko si Ana at sinabi naman niya na siya ay may ex-husband, at aware naman si Kit tungkol dito,” Ogie Diaz said
Ogie also shared that while he was with Ana, the actress even called Kit who was currently in a lock-in taping that time.
“Kinol niya (Ana) si Kit, so, ipinakita sa akin (video call) sabi ko, ‘hi Kit’ parang nasa lock in taping siya tapos parang nagluluto siya no’n.”
Ogie said that during that time it appeared like Kit was asking a lot of questions, somehow giving them hints that he’s the jealous type of a man.
“So, nu’ng pagbaba nu’ng phone sabi ko kay Ana, ‘Alam mo Ana, ikaw nakipagrelasyon ka sa showbiz, madalas na nangyayari na hindi nagtatagal pag pareho kayong actor and actress. Sabi ko, i-enjoy mo lang huwag masyadong pakalunod sa pag-ibig sabi ko sa kanya.”
Because of what had happened recently between Ana and Kit, Ogie Diaz claims that somehow, his thoughts about Kit Thompson as a boyfriend is true. However, he did not expect that it would lead to violence.
“Pero hindi ko naman na-anticipate ‘yung bugbugan issue kasi siyempre ang pagkakakilala pa rin natin kay Kit ay napakamaginoo,” Ogie Diaz added.
Furthermore, Ogie Mentioned that the Gabriela Womens Party already joined the investigation to show support for Ana.
The official statement from Gabriela Womens Party reads, “’We support the conduct of a full investigation on the incident, as we reiterate our stand against violence against women.
“‘Nothing justifies the acts of violence inflicted on women by their partners. This latest incident highlights the need to amplify the #LabananAngAbuso campaign to end violence against women. We hope the full recovery of Jalandoni from her injuries and trauma.’”
However, Mama Loi said that nothing justifies the act of violence done against Ana. “Pero sabi nga ng Gabriela walang magdya-justify doon sa act na pambubugbog sa mga babae ng mga kapartners nila kahit pa sabihin mo ‘yung babae butangera, nagger, nanakit, di ba?
“Puwera na lang kung self-defense ha, tsutsugihin ka na tapos hindi ka pa lalaban. Pero talagang walang makaka-justify doon sa act na violence against women,” Mama Loi said.
Ogie then said that what Kit did is something that he should ask for forgiveness from Ana.
“Maling-mali iyon ang dapat ihingi ng tawad ni Kit kay Ana. Kaya lang sabi ng ibang friends ni Jalandoni baka mahal pa rin niya si Kit baka mapatawad pa rin ni Ana Jalandoni si Kit. Kasi hindi naman daw naging palaban ang statement ni Jalandoni sa kanyang Instagram post.”
The vlog then continued with them taking notice of the recent post of Ana Jalandoni where she didn’t even show any signs of anger towards it.
The post reads, “When you love someone you will never ever harm them.
“Minahal mo ba talaga?
“This is me saying, you all should be careful out there. I can’t reply to all of you right now but thank you for checking up on me.
“I will release a statement soon.”
Ogie Diaz then said that he’s been trying to reach out to Ana but he hasn’t gotten ahold of her.
“Yan ang aabangan natin at ako rin naman ay tinatawagan ko si Ana pero hindi rin naman ako sinasagot at naiintindihan natin ‘yun kasi sabi ng common friend namin ay parang traumatize ‘yung babae.
“Parang may isang naging bahagi ng buhay ni Ana Jalandoni na nangungulit na parang ayaw ni Kit siguro nagseselos.”
