Earlier this week, Max shared his heartbreaking story on social media. According to the lantern maker, a customer ordered many lanterns amounting to P100,000.
At first, he thought that they struck gold. After all, having a huge order amidst the pandemic is already a big blessing for them. They spent weeks making the white lanterns. However, just when the lanterns were ready to be delivered, Max found out that he was scammed.
“Di na kukunin yan ng buyer. Sayang 100k lahat bayad yan, paano na ako baon na naman ako sa utang,” wrote Max on Facebook. He even shared a video showing the ready-to-sell lanterns in a large warehouse.
His workers are also sitting on the floor, feeling hopeless when they found out that the customer will not be paying for the orders.
According to Max, he is deeply in debt just to pay off for the materials and labor of the lantern. He can’t help but be emotional after seeing that all of their efforts and work were just wasted.
After sharing this on Facebook, many netizens also tagged Raffy Tulfo and KMJS to hopefully ease the situation of this poor lantern maker.
