Raffy Tulfo is one of the most respected news anchors in the Philippines. He’s well-known for his program “Raffy Tulfo in Action,” where he helps people resolve their problems. But in spite of his success, Raffy never forgets to look back on his humble beginnings. Earlier on August, the generous host decided to help his former television direction, Albert Cortez.
Back when Raffy Tulfo was just starting in his career, he has worked with Cortez in many projects and programs. According to Raffy, Cortez is a great director who has also contributed a lot to his career as a news anchor. They worked together in now-defunct programs like “Philippines’ Most Wanted,” “Problema Nyo Sagot Ko,” “Task Force Siyasat.”

As a help to his former TV director, Idol Raffy had a big surprise for him. The host offered a generous amount worth one-year of pension to Cortez. He will be giving him P20,000 per month for an entire year! The former TV director couldn’t help but feel emotional after hearing about Raffy’s generous help.
Raffy claimed that Cortez has helped him a lot in his career. Without Cortez, Raffy said that he will not be the renowned host that he is today. Because of that, he also wanted to help his former director.
“Nakapagsilbi kayo sa programa ko. Isa ka sa naging parte para mabuo ang pangalan na Raffy Tulfo. Doon sa mga hirap mo sa pagbi-video, sa pag eedit. Dahil sa aking mga show, nakilala ako. Tinatanaw ko yan bilang utang na loob sayo. Isa ka sa tinatanawan ko ng utang na loob kaya ako nagkaroon ng ganitong career ngayon.”
Right after his pledge, Raffy sent out his trusted reporter to give the cash to Cortez, which amounts to P240,000. The elderly director couldn’t help but turn emotional after receiving this generous gift. He also expressed his gratitude to the kind host.
