Earlier on June, the Kapamilya network revealed their plans on having a new reality show hosted by Angel Locsin. “Iba Yan” is a docu-series which aims to spark hope and joy during these times of crisis. In this series, the “Darna” actress will be helping out people in need. Angel’s fiance, Neil Arce, will be directing this new show.
On June 6, Angel surprised her fans on Instagram by revealing details about her new show. According to Angel, her new docu-series aim to feature heartwarming stories of Filipinos amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Angel Locsin po, bida sa pelikula, bida sa teleserye. Pero dito, hindi po ako ang bida. Samahan niyo po kaming ibida ang mga nakakamanghang kwento ng mga Pilipino.”

For this show, Angel, her co-hosts, and the staff will be working together to grant the wishes of their viewers. The program aims to help struggling Filipinos. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Angel Locsin will also share real-life stories that spark joy and inspiration to the viewers, in order to lift their spirits.
According to ABS-CBN reporter MJ Felipe, Angel’s friend, Dimples Romana, will also be present during one of the show’s episodes. Dimples, who is known for her kindness and generosity, will also help Angel to achieve her weekly missions of helping other people.
Many netizens couldn’t help but compare “Iba Yan” to Kapuso’s “Wish Ko Lang,” hosted by Vicki Morales. Although the premise of both shows are similar, “Wish Ko Lang” focuses on portraying the stories of their viewers. On the other hand, “Iba Yan” is a good balance of helping people in need and using their story to inspire others.
The show was originally planned to air on June 14, 6 p.m. via the Kapamilya channel. However, due to the ongoing battle of ABS-CBN for its franchise renewal, the show was temporarily halted. As of now, it’s still not clear if Angel’s new docu-show will still push through. In this case, it can still air on iWant and The Filipino Channel.
