On Wednesday, two soldiers passed away in a fatal encounter in Maguindanao. During a clash against the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters in Datu Salibo, two soldiers were fatally wounded. They were Pfc. Raymond Canlog and Pfc. Jovit Sarno, who were part of the Army’s 57th Infantry Battalion. Their passing saddened many netizens on social media.
Shortly before his passing, Private First Class Canlog was lambasted by Raffy Tulfo on his program “Wanted sa Radyo.” Raymond’s ex-girlfriend, Daisyre Ceraos, complained about him for allegedly leaving her. According to the ex-girlfriend, Pfc. Canlog was about to get married, but shortly before their wedding, he broke up with her.

According to Daisyre, their wedding was due on January 28. All of their gowns, wedding rings, and even application for license were already prepared. However, on the last minute, Pfc. Canlog changed his mind and left his bride. According to Daisyre, what hurt him the most is the fact that Raymond did not gave her a proper explanation for getting cold feet.
During the program, the host sympathized with the ex-girlfriend, who appeared to be deeply hurt due to the break-up. He also lambasted Pfc. Canlog for allegedly not being man enough to face his ex-girlfriend.
After the news spread about Pfc. Canlog’s passing, Raffy Tulfo immediately addressed the issue on his program. The host was somber while he was addressing the matter. He also told Daisyre to not mind the bashers on social media that are targeting her:
“Maging ako ma’am, bina-bash din. Pero let me tell you this ma’am, wag kang paapekto dahil yung mga bashers, b*b* yan. Kaya nga bashers ang tawag sa kanila. Yung pagkamat*y po ni Pfc, walang kinalaman sa sumbong ninyo. Ito po’y may kinalaman sa kanyang trabaho. That is his job. Whether sinumbong mo sya or hindi, ito po talaga ang kapalaran niya.”
