As the modern saying goes, karma is now digital. If you betray someone, it will come back and haunt you eventually. These days, with social media, many people have been exposed for their dishonest deeds. This is also what happened to basketball player Bright Akhuetie, who became viral after allegedly cheating on his girlfriend.
For more than a year, Akhuetie has been dating UP volleyball player Kathy Bersola. However, many people were shocked when the UP alumna spilled the tea about how the Nigerian import basketball player allegedly cheated on her with another woman.
According to Bersola, Akhuetie ‘ghosted’ her in August and told her that he wants to break-up. This came out of nowhere, so Kathy was taken aback. Despite their break-up, Bersola claimed that Akhuetie still asks her to do his school projects.
But what broke the camel’s back was when Akhuetie shared his proposal photos on Instagram. On his IG stories, the Fighting Maroon player was seen proposing to another girl. This evidently hurt Bersola, who went on a tirade against her ex-boyfriend on Twitter.
“People like him can’t just keep getting away from doing sh*t like this. I’m posting this for awareness and to speak out for all his victims, and the victims as well of people like him… Doing this also for my peace of mind,” Bersola wrote.
The volleyball player also branded Akhuetie as a “liar” and “manipulative” person. Throughout their relationship, she allegedly caught him talking and sometimes even meeting up with different girls.
On the other hand, the basketball player has experienced backlash on social media following Bersola’s Twitter rant. As of now, Akhueti is yet to comment on this controversy.
