The holiday season is just around the corner! With that in mind, many children are scrambling to receive ‘aguinaldo’ from their godparents. This has been a long-standing tradition in the Philippines. Whenever Christmas is near, ‘ninongs’ and ‘ninangs’ are also preparing for the visit of their godkids.
However, the tradition of gift-giving during Christmas season should not be imposed on godparents. After all, the best gift one can receive is love and care. But this is not the case for this demanding mother, who obliged a godmother to give money to her child!

In a now viral Facebook post, Kyla Jenner shared the demanding message she received from her ‘kumare.’ The unidentified mom started their conversation by reminding Kyla that Christmas is near, then asked for a big favor.
“Gusto daw ng inaanak mo sumama sa trip sa Hong Kong baka pwede mo naman sya bigyan! Mars, minsan lang mag-request yung inaanak mo sayo baka naman kahit 15k maabutan mo siya. Kahit ako na lang magdagdag ng kulang na pamasahe.”
Kyla informed her that she has no money, and can only give P1,000 to her goddaughter. However, her kumare refused and instead called her a ‘good-for-nothing’ ninang. As expected, their conversation ended in a heated argument.
In the end, the fuming mother decided to block Kyla. The godmother, who was evidently hurt with this rude treatment, called out other demanding parents who are putting pressure on the godparents of their children.
As of writing, Kyla’s post already reached more than 11,000 shares on Facebook. Many netizens also expressed their similar experience with parents who are too demanding when it comes to aguinaldo.
