Indeed, times flies so fast! It seems as if only yesterday when Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado announced her pregnancy. Back in the days, many people were shocked at this news as Jennylyn is one of the most promising stars of her generation. And even though her pregnancy was shrouded in controversy, at age 21, the actress gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
She became pregnant by her ex-boyfriend Patrick Garcia, who, reportedly, has distanced himself upon learning the pregnancy. We can also recall that there have been rumors going around that Patrick is being doubtful of the child’s paternity. But a few years ago, the actor has acknowledged being Jazz’s biological father.

Jennylyn gave birth to a healthy baby boy in St. Luke’s Medical Hospital on August 12, 2008. Her son, fathered by her ex-boyfriend Patrick Garcia, was named Alex Jazz. It seems surreal that Jazz is now 12 years old! Just recently, he celebrated his 12th birthday amid the modified enhanced community quarantine.
As he grows older, Jazz is starting to look more and more like his mother. Indeed, many netizens are commenting that the little boy inherited Jennylyn’s charming eyes and nose. Some fans are even commenting that Jazz can be a celebrity too, just like his mother, thanks to his ‘artistahin’ looks.
Even though Jennylyn has a hectic schedule as a celebrity, she always make sure to prioritize her child. On social media, we can often see the actress bonding with Jazz at home. Even Jennylyn’s current boyfriend, Dennis Trillo, acts as a father figure in Jazz’s life.
